Lapidaries’ Guild
Overview
The Lapidaries’ Guild is an Axiom guild specializing in cutting and faceting minerals, prisms, and Kelon crystals. The guild operates from The Foundry in Arkaster.
Work
Guild members cut prisms for Ordis Espars and process Kelon crystals. Mist-breaker ships arriving at Porto Novo bring precious minerals for the guild to cut and facet. Members also work as gemsmiths, training apprentices in lapidary techniques and jewelry enhancement through Alteration.
Political Influence
The guild holds significant political weight within the Axiom Assembly. In 367 AC, the guild commanded approximately thirteen percent of Assembly support, enough to sway general opinion on major votes. Juraj of The Sanctum approached Guildmaster Basem Falani to secure the guild’s endorsement for the Rediscovery Endeavor, recognizing that the Lapidaries and their allies had not yet taken a stance on the project.
