Tisdhera Clan

Overview

The Tisdhera Clan is one of the nine Lyra Sarabands. The Clan resides on The Wayfarer and is led by Shepherdess Thalia, one of The Nine Sisters. The Clan’s artistic traditions center on shadow theater, painting, and related visual arts.

Leadership

Thalia, one of the Greek Muses who now exists as an Oneiros, serves as Shepherdess of the Tisdhera Clan. She represents the daily authority of the Clan’s Matriarch, managing logistics and maintaining cohesion among the caravan’s artists. The Tisdhera Matriarch played a direct role in identifying Nadir’s demiurgic abilities after the boy survived unprotected exposure to the Tumult, ordering that he receive Exalt training in preparation for the Rediscovery Endeavor.

Sahanka: The Wayfarer

The Wayfarer is a floating city distinguished by its chaotic assemblage of mismatched shacks and colorful roofs, crowned with helium balloons shaped like clown faces, whales, and chicks. At its peak sits a cluster of mobiles and orreries beneath a gilded crescent moon, giving the entire structure the appearance of a giant circus suspended in the sky. In 393 AC, The Wayfarer followed a brief opening in The Tumult to join the Rediscovery Endeavor at The Screed, positioning itself alongside The Ouroboros.

Artistic Traditions

The Clan includes shadow theater performers, painters, and other visual artists. Efrén managed a small shadow theater within the troupe, presenting stories of princesses, ancient heroes, and tales from ages past. He spoke of mythical cities including Madrid, Venice, and the City of Light. Children of the Clan play together daily after chores, acting as explorers traversing mountains and valleys in search of wonders.

Tumult Singularity Incident

The Tisdhera Sahanka once collided with a Tumult singularity. During the event, the infant Nadir — who had been left on the doorstep of Kinta and Ghamam — escaped from an evacuation shelter and stood directly in the path of the mutagenic currents. Rather than being consumed, Nadir absorbed the Tumult and released a wave of energy that neutralized the threat across the entire city. Parts of the Sahanka were transformed into pigment — trees made of paint, fountains flowing with watercolor, buildings turned into woodblock prints — but was otherwise left intact.

Phoenix Egg Transport

The Tisdhera Clan serves a covert role in Rune’s Testament — secret instructions left by the first Kuningas. Bravos loyal to the Testament secretly joined the Clan aboard The Wayfarer, carrying the Phoenix Egg stolen from Haven. According to the Testament, the egg must be transported westward to the Phoenix’s nest, where it can be rekindled and the Firebird reborn. The Phoenixian Guard orchestrated this operation, using the Tisdhera Clan’s vessel as cover for the artifact’s transport.
